Agreement: By registering for or using Regent POS, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
1. Definitions
- "Regent POS" means the software platform at regentpos.com operated by Regent POS Ltd.
- "You" / "Customer" means the restaurant, business or individual accessing our services.
- "Service" means all features, APIs and software we provide.
- "Content" means data, menu items, images and other materials you upload.
2. Account Registration
You must provide accurate, current and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to enter into contracts on behalf of your business to use Regent POS.
3. Subscription & Payment
Regent POS offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in GBP (including VAT).
- Payments are processed securely by our payment providers
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
- You may cancel at any time โ access continues until the end of the billing period
- Refunds are provided in accordance with our Refund Policy (see below)
- We may change pricing with 30 days notice to registered customers
4. Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription. After 14 days, we do not provide prorated refunds for partial months. If you cancel, you retain access until the end of your paid period.
If we terminate your account for breach of these Terms, no refund is due.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Regent POS for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any UK or international law
- Upload fraudulent, misleading or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile or copy our software
- Use our service to process transactions for illegal goods or services
- Resell or white-label our service without an Enterprise agreement
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to Regent POS (menus, images, business data). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display and process it solely to provide the service to you.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of your content, including allergen information and pricing.
7. Service Availability
We aim to maintain 99.9% uptime. We may occasionally perform maintenance which could temporarily interrupt the service โ we will provide notice where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from service outages beyond our reasonable control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Regent POS Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, consequential or special losses
- Loss of revenue, profits or business opportunities
- Data loss caused by user error or third-party failures
Our total liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amount you paid us in that period.
9. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in the Regent POS platform, including software, design, trademarks and documentation, belongs to Regent POS Ltd. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you.
10. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or for any reason with 30 days notice. Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days after which it will be deleted.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
